Coasting into 15 years of service
You are invited to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the COASTER with a four-city “COASTER Crawl” on Saturday, February 27!

$8.7M awarded for "SMART" improvements on I-15
The federal government has chosen the I-15 corridor as one of two national demonstration projects to receive funding for smart systems that will integrate traffic management techniques in order to fight traffic congestion.

Be counted in 2010!
April 1, 2010, is Census Day. Be counted in 2010! Your participation helps the San Diego region.

New survey asks residents about their rural area transportation needs
SANDAG is conducting an important survey of the transportation needs of residents in the rural areas of San Diego County. This survey will enable SANDAG to conduct an in-depth analysis of transportation issues to be included in the update of the regional Coordinated Plan.

Just keep it. Reload it.
Beginning May 1, 2010, a $2 fee will be charged for new Compass Cards. To avoid this charge, always bring your card with you to reload it with your new transit pass. If you request a new card, the fee will be added to the cost of your transit pass. Your reusable Compass Card should last for several years.

SANDAG receives stimulus grant to fund SR 905/I-805 interchange
The U.S. Department of Transportation has selected SANDAG to receive a $20.2 million grant to help fund a SR 905 to I-805 interchange, completing a freeway connection between the Otay Mesa Port of Entry and the rest of the highway system.

Calculate the real cost of your commute
By answering five simple questions, our Cost of Commute Calculator will calculate your current commute costs and show you how much money you could save by using an alternative commute.
