Call for projects: $8.8M for active transportation
Acting to implement its long-range plans to improve active transportation, SANDAG has put out a call seeking competitive bids for $8.8 million in grant funds to pay for bicycle and pedestrian improvements throughout the region.
Overall regional crime rates continue decline
Violent crime and property crime rates in the San Diego region again hit new, 30-year lows in 2011, according to the SANDAG annual regional crime report.
