Find your match with iCommute RideLink

Looking for a safe, secure and simple way to find ridesharing opportunities? The new SANDAG online ride matching and trip logging service, iCommute, is now available to help! iCommute is a tool that helps commuters who are looking to share a ride link with one another. Services include linking to carpools, vanpools, bicycle buddies, bicycle lockers, and the Guaranteed Ride Home program.

To get started, visit www.icommute.511sd.com and register for a commuter account. Simply enter a trip (a starting and ending point) and iCommute will present you with various ride-matching options. Choose the option that best fits your schedule and preferences, and be securely matched by iCommute. No personal information is exchanged until you approve the match.

San Diego employers are in the process of setting up iCommute employer accounts. This will help commuters match with coworkers who may have similar schedules and live in the same neighborhood. If you are an employer, contact ridelink@sandag.org to get started with your employer account.

Need a bicycle locker?  SANDAG manages more than 650 lockers at various transit centers and park-and-ride lots in the San Diego region.  iCommute provides a complete list of these bicycle lockers and allows you to apply for one online. Once RideLink approves your application, the locker is yours to use.

With iCommute, it has never been easier to sign up and use the SANDAG Guaranteed Ride Home program. Commuters who carpool, vanpool, take an express bus, ride the COASTER, or bike to work three or more times a week are eligible for a ride home in an emergency through this program.

Sign up for your iCommute account today and begin logging your trips! For the month of December, those who utilize an alternative mode of transportation at least 3 times a week and log those commute trips into iCommute will qualify for a drawing for a $100 gas card!
