20 miles now open on the I-15 Express Lanes!
The I-15 Express Lanes are now complete and provide 20 miles of congestion-free travel from the I-15/SR 163 split in San Diego to SR 78 in Escondido. They offer access 24/7 with two lanes in each direction as well as additional entry and exit points that will help drivers get where they need to go more quickly.
To celebrate the grand opening of the Express Lanes, SANDAG has launched four promotions through March 11, 2012:

Zero-Emission Vehicles and the I-15 Express Lanes
Do you have a zero-emission vehicle? Have you thought about getting one? In addition to the many money-saving and green benefits of a zero-emission vehicle, there are also benefits for solo drivers who want to use the Express Lanes. If you have a zero-emission vehicle displaying the DMV white sticker, you are allowed to travel in the Express Lanes as a solo driver for free!
