South Bay Expressway toll prices to drop
At its May 25 meeting, the SANDAG Board of Directors unanimously authorized an across-the-board reduction in tolls on SR 125/South Bay Expressway, believed to be the first-ever comprehensive resetting of toll rates by a public toll road operator in the United States. Changes are expected to go into effect on June 30.

TransNet ITOC seeks new member
The TransNet Independent Taxpayer Oversight Committee is seeking a qualified member of the public to fill one vacancy on its seven-member committee in the following category: A licensed engineer with appropriate credentials in the field of transportation project design or construction and a minimum of ten years experience in a relevant and senior decision making position in the government or private sector. Apply by June 4.

Dump the Pump Day is June 21
The SANDAG iCommute program is joining its regional public transportation partners, MTS and NCTD, in promoting the seventh annual National Dump the Pump Day on June 21.

Trestles Bridge dedicated
The completion of the nearly $8 million San Mateo Creek Bridge, gateway to Trestles Beach and its famous surf break, was formally marked May 14, 2012.

The Healthy Communities Atlas illustrates how relationships between numerous neighborhood characteristics can impact the health of its community.
