Community workshops tackle regional issues
Throughout June and July, SANDAG will continue to hold community workshops countywide to solicit public input on the biggest issues facing the region between now and 2050 – issues like the economy, environment, transportation, public health, and social equity.
Trolley project takes big step forward
On Friday, May 17, SANDAG kicked off the public review and comment period for the draft environmental report on the Mid-Coast Corridor Transit Project, marking another major step forward in extending the San Diego Trolley to the University City community in San Diego.
New lanes opened on SR 78
The new eastbound auxiliary lanes on State Route 78 near the cities of San Marcos and Escondido opened to motorists on May 1. This is the last project to be completed during a two-year highway improvement program for this area of North County and will ease traffic flow along one of the region’s most congested stretches of freeway.
