2007 population estimates released

SANDAG has released 2007 demographic and population and demographic estimates for its Web-based Profile Warehouse and Data Warehouse applications. Users also can use these applications to access 1990 and 2000 Census data, and 2030 Regional Growth Forecasts.

The Profile Warehouse provides easy-to-read PDF reports that detail the region’s population, housing, and economic information.

There are 14 different geographic types to choose from and these areas range in size from census tracts to the entire region.

The Data Warehouse enables users to generate custom datasets that can be downloaded into a spreadsheet. To begin, select the geographic type (region, city, ZIP Code, census tracts, planning areas, MSAs, SRAs, etc.); select the geographic sub-unit; choose the dataset; choose the topic and/or sub-topic (grouped within the topical categories of General, People, Housing, Households and Families, Economy, Land Use, and Transportation); select an output format; and get the data. Users can then view, save, and/or perform calculations with their customized datasets.
