Get geared up for Bike to Work Day! Bike to Work Day 2008!

San Diego County is joining National Bike to Work Day on May 16, 2008.  Registered cyclists who participate in Bike to Work Day will receive free refreshments and other giveaways at Pit Stops across the county.  Registration information will be available soon.

There are more than 1,100 miles of bike lanes and roads throughout the San Diego region.  All buses in the region are equipped with bike racks and bicycles are allowed on the trolley and COASTER.  Bike commuters also can enroll in the Guaranteed Ride Home program.  Guaranteed Ride Home provides registered users a taxi or rental car (depending on the distance between work and home) in case of an emergency or unscheduled overtime. For more information dial 511 and say RideLink.

Bike to Work Day Pit Stops will open at 6 a.m. and close at 9 a.m.  For more information about Bike to Work Day 2008 or if your organization would like to host a Pit Stop, e-mail RideLink or call 511 and say RideLink.
