Progress continues on 2050 RTPRTP cover

Progress continues on the 2050 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) as the SANDAG Board moves toward selecting a preferred transportation network scenario in December. Four transportation network scenarios have been presented to the public, working groups, SANDAG Policy Advisory Committees, and the Board of Directors for review and comment. The SANDAG Board will adopt the 2050 RTP in 2011.

SANDAG created a three-minute video – entitled “Our Region. Our Future.” – about the 2050 RTP to engage viewers in the discussion about our region’s future strategies for its communities, transportation network, employment, economy, and environment. The video provides an overview of the work, strategies, forecasts, and public input that are serving as a guide for our region’s vision through the year 2050. It can be viewed in English and Spanish. The video also is available as part of a community presentation on the RTP. To request a guest speaker on the RTP for a public meeting or community group, please contact Karin Ross at (619) 595-5610 or kros@sandag.org. Sign up to receive the 2050 RTP electronic newsletter at 2050rtp@sandag.org.
