Reports reveal trends in drug use & gang involvement
A trio of new reports released in November by the SANDAG Criminal Justice Research Division reveal regional trends in drug abuse & gang involvement. The reports are based on 2010 data collected as part of the SANDAG Substance Abuse Monitoring program.

Three local schools win Walk, Ride, and Roll to School Challenge
Congratulations to the three local schools that won the countywide Walk, Ride, and Roll to School Campaign Challenge for having the most students walking and biking to school throughout October.
Rideshare Week 2011 Corporate Challenge winners announced
During the month of October, 38 companies competed in the Rideshare 2011 Corporate Challenge. These companies competed within their size category, encouraging their employees to replace solo commutes with a more sustainable choice — vanpool, public transit, walk, carpool, bike, or telework.
1,600 acres of open space conserved in SR 76 corridor
Rancho Lilac is a crown jewel in the $850 million SANDAG Environmental Mitigation Program, which is funded by the TransNet regional half-cent sales tax for transportation. Through this program, SANDAG works with Caltrans to purchase, conserve, and restore native habitats as offsets to disturbances caused by transportation projects.
