Regional Plan Performance Monitoring

Draft 2018 Regional Plan Performance Monitoring Report

The draft 2018 Regional Plan Performance Monitoring Report has been released for public review. Comments should be submitted to Seth Litchney at by December 28, 2018.
Upon the conclusion of the public comment period, the SANDAG Board of Directors will be asked to accept the final report.

Chapter 5 of the San Diego Forward: The Regional Plan describes using performance monitoring indicators help gauge the Regional Plan’s progress. Traditionally, these indicators have relied upon available data – both current and historic – collected by SANDAG to demonstrate whether the region is making progress toward implementing its plans. The 23 performance monitoring indicators follow the overall vision and goals of the Regional Plan and are grouped into the plan’s three goal categories of supporting a healthy environment and communities, creating a more vibrant economy, and incorporating innovative mobility and planning.

SANDAG will prepare performance monitoring reports for the Regional Plan on a four-year cycle. Reviewing key outcomes every several years will provide a foundation for preparing future updates to the plan.
