Transportation Demand Management
Transportation Demand Management Program
SANDAG coordinates a variety of programs that increase the number of commuters who rideshare, take transit, bike, walk, and telework. Programs and services include a robust employer outreach program, vanpool and carpool subsidies, regional rideshare and bike to work campaigns, secure bike parking options, a Try Transit program, bike education, and resources for teleworking.

SANDAG also produces resources that local cities, transit operators, and the development community can leverage to effectively integrate TDM strategies into planning and capital projects. Local agency collaboration is key to implementing pilot projects that expand shared mobility services in the region while collecting valuable data to monitor their success.
