SANDAG Offices Closed March 16 Through April 3 Amid COVID-19 Developments

Downtown and FasTrak Offices Closed to the Public Beginning Monday, March 16

March 13, 2020 - To protect the health and safety of staff, partners, and the general public, SANDAG will close its offices to the public —including the FasTrak Customer Service Center in Otay Mesa —Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 3, unless conditions warrant an extension.

While the I-15 Express Lanes and South Bay Expressway FasTrak Customer Service Center is closed to walk-in traffic, the call center will remain open and maintain normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 - 6 p.m. (closed every other Monday). Customers are encouraged to call (619) 661-7070 or visit to reach a customer service representative.

SANDAG is not shutting down operations, and employees will continue working to provide essential services to the public and make progress on critical regional projects.

SANDAG is updating its calendar of events and recommending changes, cancellations, or postponements on a case-by-case basis. Where possible, SANDAG is considering conducting meetings and other important outreach virtually.

The 30th Annual SANDAG Bike to Work Day will be postponed in accordance with guidance from the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency, which recently issued an order prohibiting all large events with more than 250 attendees. SANDAG’s priority is to ensure a healthy and safe environment for our participants, staff, and volunteers. SANDAG hopes to reschedule Bike to Work Day later this year. More information about Bike to Work Day can be found at

As organizations throughout the region evaluate the possibility of asking employees to work from home as a COVID-19 precaution, the SANDAG iCommute program has compiled telework resources for employers, including sample policies and employee agreements, guidelines, and FAQs. Learn more at
