TransNet Oversight & Reporting

SANDAG has a track record of administering TransNet funds prudently. The TransNet Independent Taxpayer Oversight Committee (ITOC) conducts fiscal and compliance audits every year and a performance audit every three years. The public has direct access to committee members through monthly public meetings.

Additionally, the SANDAG Board of Directors, acting as the San Diego County Regional Transportation Commission, conducts a ten-year comprehensive program review of all TransNet projects and programs to evaluate and improve performance of the overall program in compliance with the TransNet Extension Ordinance.
