FasTrak

FasTrak® is California’s electronic tolling system that allows drivers to pay for every tolled express lane, road, and bridge in the state with the same account. FasTrak account holders save time and money by skipping the toll booths and paying the lowest tolls compared to cash or credit card users.

SANDAG operates tolling in the San Diego region for the I-15 Express Lanes and SR 125 Toll Road. Drivers who want access to the I-15 Express Lanes while driving alone or who frequently drive on the SR 125 Toll Road can benefit from opening a SANDAG FasTrak account.

Our Roadways

The I-15 Express Lanes are 20 miles of specially designated highway lanes between SR 78 in Escondido and SR 163 in San Diego, created to ease demand on regular freeway lanes.

The express lanes are free to use without a FasTrak account for carpools, vanpools, motorcycles, clean air vehicles, and transit vehicles. Solo drivers can pay to use the express lanes by opening a FasTrak account. Toll rates for the express lanes vary depending on the distance traveled and traffic congestion.

The SR 125 Toll Road is a 10-mile expressway between SR 54 in Spring Valley to SR 905 in Otay Mesa.

All drivers on the toll road are required to pay a toll. FasTrak account holders receive the best toll rate, while drivers who pay at the toll booths or pay retroactively will pay additional fees. Toll rates for the toll road vary depending on the distance traveled and payment method.
