Project Lifecycle
The typical lifecycle of a project includes preplanning, planning, design, building/implementation, and operation. Once the Board decides to invest in a project, it can take years to complete. Throughout the process, we solicit and incorporate public feedback.Funding
The many projects we work on require millions of dollars to plan and build. We receive funding from a variety of local, state, and federal sources, and secure matching state and federal investments by leveraging TransNet—the local half cent sales tax administered by SANDAG to deliver key infrastructure improvements throughout the San Diego region.
