Planning and building the San Diego region’s transportation system is one of our most visible and important jobs at SANDAG.
Updates to the region’s highways, freeways, and transit routes improve traffic flow, save commuters time, enhance safety, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Our goal is to help people and goods travel efficiently around the region, whether it’s for work, school, shopping, or visiting friends and families.
Federal, state, and local agencies—such as Caltrans, MTS, and NCTD—are major partners in this work, and TransNet is a key funding source.
