Biking and Walking
Facilities for non-motorized transportation include sidewalks and bikeways. Recently, bike facilities in the region have increased, and more are on the way. Development of bike and pedestrian-friendly streets and neighborhoods is a priority.

SANDAG is piloting a Shared Streets program as an alternative way to promote Bike Month while addressing immediate public health concerns.
