Rapid 483

Do you travel between Temecula and San Marcos? Take our survey by April 23 to tell us which destinations you want to reach along this route.

In response to public feedback asking for a transit connection from Riverside County to San Diego County, the new Rapid 483 bus route will connect Temecula to Escondido and San Marcos with stops at popular destinations like California State University San Marcos and Palomar College. The route will provide vital access to jobs, schools, medical appointments, and more.

We will continue to gather input from people who make trips between these areas to ensure this route will serve the most needed locations. Subscribe to get email updates about this project and how you can help shape it.

When Will This Bus Be Ready to Ride?

From early 2025 to mid-2026, we will study where the route could go, its potential stops, and many other details. Pending funding for planning, design, and construction, Rapid 483 could be open for riders as soon as 2029.
