SANDAG offers free assistance to schools in the San Diego region by providing a customized commuter program for staff, parents, and students. We provide schools with services to support sustainable transportation to school, including bike classes, carpool and vanpool matching events, and free transit passes.

Members of the SANDAG School Commuter Program enjoy a personalized solution. SANDAG works with members to create the right program for their school through every step of the process.
- Assessment: We help schools to survey staff and parents to assess commuter needs.
- Development and implementation: We help participants to build and promote a customized commuter program.
- Recognition: Participants earn Diamond Award points by promoting sustainable commuting choices.
